JBL Fine Filter Foam

$35.00

  • Quick elimination of all kinds of cloudiness in freshwater and marine water aquariums and in pond water: reusable foam for use in the filter
  • Easy to use: cut the foam to the size you need (suitable for all filters). Layer as filter stage for pre- and long-term filtering
  • Crystal-clear water: filters off floating algae and cloudiness. Offers a large surface for the settling of cleansing bacteria
  • No release of harmful substances – water neutral fine foam with 30 ppi pore size
  • Contents: 1 washable foam filter mat for aquariums (50×50 cm) for all types of filter

Clean and healthy water
Plant and food remains and metabolic substances lead to a deterioration of the quality of the water in the aquarium. Good water quality is necessary for healthy fish and plants. This can be achieved with various filters and filter materials. The filters suck in the aquarium water and remove the pollution and waste materials from the water.

Easy to use
Cut foam about 1-2 mm larger than the relevant cross section of the filter and put it into the last filter stage. Avoid gaps between the inner wall and filter. Fine-pored foam as pre- and long-term filter material.

Fine filtering
The fine material filters even the smallest particles (1/1000 mm upwards) out of the water. This removes floating algae and very fine turbidity from the water almost immediately.

Absolutely safe
No release of pollutants into the water from neutral foam. Open-pored through dedicated high-pressure treatment.

sera siporax bio active Professional

$19.90
Size : 210g The revolution in water conditioning  The unique “dry water conditioner” combines stabilizing biological filtration with effective and quick pollutant removal of water conditioning. Pollutant utilizing bacteria remove pollutants such as ammonium and nitrite from the water already shortly after the first contact with water. Sludge is decomposed faster, and thus a critical pollutant reservoir is quickly rendered harmless. The biological equilibrium is stabilized and maintenance intervals become longer.

Seachem Tidal 35 Zeolite

$15.30
120ml
  • Binds ammonia and heavy metals
  • Highest ammonia binding capacity of any zeolite
  • Removes harmful metal ions like lead, copper, nickel and zinc
  • Marine & Freshwater
This Zeolite media is meant for Tidal Filter. Zeolite actively binds and removes ammonia and heavy metals ions such as lead, copper, nickel, zinc. This filter media ensures that the aquarium water is safe and free of harmful metallic toxins.

Advantages

Seachem Zeolite is a naturally occurring, highly-porous mineral that binds ammonia and heavy metals through an ion exchange mechanism. Seachem Zeolite has the highest ammonia binding capacity of any available zeolite; ten times higher than some products and twice the capacity of the closest competitor. Seachem Zeolite won't deplete calcium in saltwater, and it won't increase general hardness in freshwater, where the ionic strength is low.

Directions

For best results, Seachem Zeolite should be rinsed before use and placed so as to maximise the flow of water through it but not so that it tumbles against itself in flow. It may be used in a canister filter, media chamber, box filter, or any high flow area of a trickle filter. Use of a filter bag such as Seachem's The Bag or Zip Bag is recommended. Use 250 mL (1 cup) of Seachem Zeolite for every 200 L (50 US gallons). For smaller aquariums, the equivalent dose is 5 mL (1 level teaspoon) per 4 L (1 US gallon). This amount of Seachem Zeolite will remove up to 0.5 mg/L ammonia. Monitor ammonia levels, which should drop to zero within 24-48 hours. At this point, the zeolite can be removed or replaced with activated carbon, such as Seachem MatrixCarbon. For heavy metals removal, leave in service and replace monthly. For long term ammonia control, use Seachem Stability and Matrix. Use Ammonia Alert or MultiTest Free & Total Ammonia to directly monitor levels of free ammonia.

sera filter wool

$4.10 – $17.60
For mechanical prefiltration of fine dirt particles  sera filter wool for the mechanical prefiltration consists of stable fibers that retain finer dirt particles for a longer time without sticking or collapsing. sera filter wool can be washed out several times. Suitable for all filters. We recommended sera siporax Professional for the biological filtration. sera siporax Professional is open pored and three dimensional - for lasting pollutant breakdown. sera filter media must be rinsed under warm water before using it for the first time. Tip: When used in combination with sera phosvec・clear and sera pond crystal, sera filter wool makes it easier to remove the bound substances.

Seachem HyperSorb

$16.10 – $24.50
  • High capacity organic waste removal
  • Synthetic adsorbent
  • Economical carbon substitute
  • No impact on pH; minimal impact on trace elements

Description

HyperSorb™ is a synthetic adsorbent that outperforms all other blended synthetic media and carbons. It has exceptional organic removal capacity: it removes organic waste, toxic vapors and other pollutants. In freshwater it will help stabilize the ionic balance and will help control ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. It is easily regenerated with household bleach. For use in both freshwater and marine.

Directions

Use in a filter bag such as The Bag. Each 250 mL treats up to 300 L (75 US gallons). Rinse before use. Exhaustion is indicated by a pronounced discoloration of the beads from yellow to deep brown. REGENERATION: Soak in a 1:1 bleach:water solution for 24 hours in a non-metallic container in a well ventilated area and away from children. Use regular 8.25% hypochlorite household bleach (non-scented, no dyes, do not use a splash-less bleach). Rinse well, then soak for 8 hours with a solution containing 4 tablespoons of Prime®, or equivalent dechlorinator per cup of water. Rinse well. For freshwater use, soak for 4 hours with a solution containing 2 tablespoons of buffer per cup of water (Discus Buffer®, Neutral Regulator®). Original color and full activity should now be restored and HyperSorb™ is ready for reuse. Caution: some slime coat products may permanently foul HyperSorb™ and render regeneration difficult. Do not reuse if odor of bleach/chlorine is detectable. In case of doubt, soak beads in small quantity of water and test for residual chlorine with a chlorine test kit.

sera siporax Professional 15 mm

$15.90 – $739.20
Maximum optimization of biological filtration  The original sera siporax Professional is suitable for use in both freshwater and marine aquariums as well as in ponds. Not depending on the kind of filter (internal/external/trickle filter), it maximizes the surface required for biological purification and provides the optimal substrate for the settling of necessary filter bacteria. The sera filter biostart included with the kit contains purification bacteria which activate sera siporax Professional biologically immediately upon addition and start pollutant breakdown in the water. Filter and breakdown processes in the bottom ground of natural waters are very important. Organic waste are processed by micro-organisms and are thus available for the natural cycle as a nutrient for aquatic plants – pollutants such as ammonium, nitrite and nitrate are removed. Since little waste per water amount is formed in nature, the present bottom surface is sufficient for housing a sufficient number of micro-organisms. However, an aquarium accommodates a small biotope in little space. It is therefore necessary to maximally enlarge the settling area for ensuring complete and safe breakdown of organic remainders. sera perfectly put this into practice with the unique high performance filter medium sera siporax. Unlike other filter rings available on the market, sera siporax consists of sintered glass. The unique material convinces due to a special three-dimensional pore structure. This allows maximum surface increase. At the same time, the fine pores provide ideal settling conditions for bacteria that break down pollutants. Since it is an interconnected system, the bacteria are permanently rinsed by water nd so can break down pollutants with best possible efficiency. Furthermore, the unique pore array allows for self-purification of the substrate and thus very long filter holding times. In combination with specialized bacteria, sera siporax even fulfills a variety of other special tasks, such as algae prevention or directed water conditioning.
