The original sera siporax Professional is suitable for use in both freshwater and marine aquariums as well as in ponds. Not depending on the kind of filter (internal/external/trickle filter), it maximizes the surface required for biological purification and provides the optimal substrate for the settling of necessary filter bacteria. The sera filter biostart included with the kit contains purification bacteria which activate sera siporax Professional biologically immediately upon addition and start pollutant breakdown in the water.
Filter and breakdown processes in the bottom ground of natural waters are very important. Organic waste are processed by micro-organisms and are thus available for the natural cycle as a nutrient for aquatic plants – pollutants such as ammonium, nitrite and nitrate are removed. Since little waste per water amount is formed in nature, the present bottom surface is sufficient for housing a sufficient number of micro-organisms.
However, an aquarium accommodates a small biotope in little space. It is therefore necessary to maximally enlarge the settling area for ensuring complete and safe breakdown of organic remainders.

Unlike other filter rings available on the market, sera siporax consists of sintered glass. The unique material convinces due to a special three-dimensional pore structure. This allows maximum surface increase. At the same time, the fine pores provide ideal settling conditions for bacteria that break down pollutants. Since it is an interconnected system, the bacteria are permanently rinsed by water nd so can break down pollutants with best possible efficiency. Furthermore, the unique pore array allows for self-purification of the substrate and thus very long filter holding times.
In combination with specialized bacteria, sera siporax even fulfills a variety of other special tasks, such as algae prevention or directed water conditioning.

This Zeolite media is meant for Tidal Filter. Zeolite actively binds and removes ammonia and heavy metals ions such as lead, copper, nickel, zinc. This filter media ensures that the aquarium water is safe and free of harmful metallic toxins.
Seachem Zeolite is a naturally occurring, highly-porous mineral that binds ammonia and heavy metals through an ion exchange mechanism.
Seachem Zeolite has the highest ammonia binding capacity of any available zeolite; ten times higher than some products and twice the capacity of the closest competitor.
Seachem Zeolite won't deplete calcium in saltwater, and it won't increase general hardness in freshwater, where the ionic strength is low.
For best results, Seachem Zeolite should be rinsed before use and placed so as to maximise the flow of water through it but not so that it tumbles against itself in flow. It may be used in a canister filter, media chamber, box filter, or any high flow area of a trickle filter. Use of a filter bag such as Seachem's The Bag or Zip Bag is recommended.
Use 250 mL (1 cup) of Seachem Zeolite for every 200 L (50 US gallons). For smaller aquariums, the equivalent dose is 5 mL (1 level teaspoon) per 4 L (1 US gallon). This amount of Seachem Zeolite will remove up to 0.5 mg/L ammonia. Monitor ammonia levels, which should drop to zero within 24-48 hours. At this point, the zeolite can be removed or replaced with activated carbon, such as Seachem MatrixCarbon. For heavy metals removal, leave in service and replace monthly. For long term ammonia control, use Seachem Stability and Matrix. Use Ammonia Alert or MultiTest Free & Total Ammonia to directly monitor levels of free ammonia.

SeaGel™ is a blend of MatrixCarbon™ and PhosGuard™. MatrixCarbon™ is an ultracapacity carbon for the removal of organic and color impurities. PhosGuard™ is a powerful remover of phosphate, silicate, toxic metals, and acids. Both components are bead shaped for optimum water flow characteristics and penetration. The components enhance each other and are ideal for reef and marine use. SeaGel™ may also be used in freshwater that is not phosphate buffered.
Although MatrixCarbon™ has the lowest detectable leachable phosphate content of all major carbon brands tested, some phosphate is still released. Adding PhosGuard™ to the mix compensates for this. Both components are bead shaped for optimum water flow characteristics and penetration. The components enhance each other and are ideal for reef and marine use.
Use 250 mL for each 150–225 L (40–60 US gallons). Use in a filter bag such as Seachem’s The Bag™. Rinse in freshwater before use. Use caution, since product will fizz and heat on initial wetting. SeaGel™ will function 3–4 months.
Versatile internal filter with UV-C system for aquariums up to 400 l (106 US gal.)
The internal filter IF 400 + UV is a novel and extremely flexibly useable internal filter with surface skimmer and/or side intake for freshwater and marine aquariums. It is equipped with an integrated and adjustable filter pump FP 750 and a UV-C unit which reduces pathogens, parasites and algae.
The 6 filter baskets inside the filter allow for easy application and quick change of filter media, and can be removed upwards by holder plates that can be pulled out. The water is purified biologically and irradiated by UV-C at the same time before being directed back into the aquarium via a flexible distributor. The flat outlet nozzles ensure improved water agitation in the aquarium.
The IF 400 + UV can also be used with 4, 2 or even without any baskets as required. In the latter case, water runs into the filter via the entire side, and filter media such as filter wool can collect fine particles via the increased intake.
Due to the manifold adjustment possibilities, the IF 400 + UV is extremely flexible and also interesting for professional quarantine applications where, on the one hand, filter media are often changed frequently and, on the other hand, pathogen and parasite reduction are not to be missed. The filter requires very little space when attached inside the aquarium and allows for particularly easy access. Depending on the aquarium stocking density and the applied filter media, the IF 400 + UV provides capacity for aquariums up to 400 liters (106 US gal.).

The revolution in water conditioning
The unique “dry water conditioner” combines stabilizing biological filtration with effective and quick pollutant removal of water conditioning.
Pollutant utilizing bacteria remove pollutants such as ammonium and nitrite from the water already shortly after the first contact with water. Sludge is decomposed faster, and thus a critical pollutant reservoir is quickly rendered harmless. The biological equilibrium is stabilized and maintenance intervals become longer.
Air operated sponge filter
These air operated internal filters work as a mammoth or airlift pump. It is pushed into the standpipe via a hose by an air pump. The air draws aquarium water upwards with it in there, water flows back through the fine mesh sponge that provides an ideal surface, and thus purifies the aquarium water mechanically. The nitrifying bacteria important for pollutant breakdown settle inside the optimized sponges.
These filters are ideal for rearing larvae and juvenile fish that otherwise would disappear in normal filters due to their small size and swimming behavior.
