Size : 1" - 1.2" The cardinal tetra is a popular South American aquarium fish that is known for its bright colors and active behavior. These fish are schooling fish, and should be kept in groups of at least six. They are omnivorous and will eat a wide variety of foods, including both flakes and freeze-dried meaty foods. Cardinal tetras are very active fish and will need a lot of swimming room. An aquarium size of at least 20 gallons is recommended. They are compatible with most other types of fish and make a wonderful addition to any tank.
